What can I say? This book was, as Rin would say, amazingballs. It had me laughing from the start, but it was also really emotional at times, it actually made me cry.I loved reading all the nice, totally random facts that were in this book. I loves Rin, who was cute, just like you have to e in Japan.I loved that Harriet got to go to Japan in the first place.I loved that Nick wanted to be in her company do bad, that he had to organize dresses and stuff...I loved the T-shirt her dad wore at the end of the book.I loved the list that Annabel gave Harriet when the baby was born.I loved that Harriet loved the baby.I loved Toby's part in the book, and how he accused Harriet of trying to kiss him.. (;I loved it all, really. Overall5/5 ICE CREAMS I loved this book even more than the first one!! I remember a lot of times where I was smiling, crying and laughing my head off. I was really excited when it was time to read because this book was a pleasure to read. This series is a must for all you contemporary lovers out there.Setting:I may have not mentioned this before but I love the way Holly describes the setting in these books. In this one, she describes all the sights and sounds of Tokyo and it really felt like you were there with Harriet exploring these places with her. I applaud Holly for creating amazing imagery and making the reader feel connected within the story. CharactersHarriet Manners:Harriet has developed so much in this book and it made me love her character even more. I love reading about her big adventure in Tokyo and her shenanigans that she gets up to. What I liked about Harriet as a character is that she is relatable because she makes a lot of mistakes but she learns through those mistakes as she embarks on her journey. Nick Hidaka – OMG! Is there any way that this guy cannot get any more swoons worthy!! Nick is such an amazing character in this book and I love the way he helps Harriet through her journey in Japan. I’m not going to spoil anything but the moments that Nick and Harriet shared… my emotions could not control themselves. There were times where I was smiling a LOT, there were times I cried and there were times I could not stop laughing. Nick is so generous, charismatic, funny and witty. He is also not a player when it comes to a relationship which is another bonus. Rin – Rin is one of Harriet’s flatmates in the model house that she stays with whilst in Tokyo. I loved her character from the minute she was introduced because she has a bubbly and quirky disposition. I love the way she talks even though she tries to speak English because she really wants to learn. I really liked reading all her dialogue because it made me laugh even though I knew she was trying. Like instead of calling Harriet by her name, Rin calls her Harrychan which I think it’s quite cute.Poppy – I liked her character but I really disliked her by the end of this book because of the horrible things she did to get her own way. I just found to be really pathetic and what you would call a wannabe. Let’s just say she is a mean person and every book needs a villain. WritingI have said this before and I’m going to say it again… Holly’s writing is not perfect but I love it. It’s light, easy to read and funny. She is one of my favourite authors because her books make me smile and laugh when I read her books.
