It's been a long time since I had done an honest to goodness bible study. Tim Keller cuts through the clutter and makes at times the dizzying, complicated and seemingly contradictory writings of Paul make sense. I enjoyed reading the verses in Galatians, but also enjoyed reading this book that dissected it. I found myself stopping as I read to think about something for a minute--rolling it around in my head and heart. The group study guide also allowed for some very thought provoking discussions with my mom's group bible study. I hope to pick up another of Keller's book and work through some scripture. This book was very instructive to me and helped me be reminded that salvation comes in Christ Alone! A good companion to a journey through the book of Galatians. I'm a fan of Keller's work and this one doesn't disappoint. A very practical, down to earth guide to understanding one of Paul's most important letters which emphasizes the freedom of faith verses the slavery of seeking salvation by works. Our church has used this to shape our Sunday message series on Galatians that we are just now wrapping up.
