This is book 1 in this military romance. The heat between Cassie and Alex is 110 degrees hot, hot, hot. I never knew a rule existed like the one described in this story - but I guess it is like any situation with a teacher and a student (even if both of them of them are of age). It took a while for me to get into the story but once I did I was totally engrossed. I sat by the pool in Mexico reading and wanting to help Cassie through the difficulties she was facing and want to punch Alex to calm his ego. I tell my partner (who is definitely not an alpha male)about the sex appeal that rolls off these men - Alex is a hot latin alpha male - it is nice that they are not all billionaires used to getting their own way. CC Brown was a new author for me. Her writing has spunk and her characters seemed real to life. It was an interesting journey following Alex and Cassie through lust, sex and love. This is the first book I have read by C.C. Brown, and it won't be the last. I really enjoyed it, although I found myself stopping and starting. Which I don't usually do if I am really into a book. I loved the seething of the story and how how we meet the main characters. I loved Alex and Cassie from the start and got more and more drawn into their relationship, the further into the story I got. By the end of the book I was hooked, and I'm dying to know what will happen to Alex. Poor Cassie is stuck in hospital with her sorry excuse of a mother. And there are so called friends read to sing like a canary, against Alex & Cassie. Lucky enough I bought both books at the same time, so I can now jump right into reading the sequel and find out what happens. Meet you on the other side. =)
