OUR LADY OF THE IMMACULATE DECEPTIONA Non-Review------------------------------------I gave this book a shot but eventually decided that I am not interested in reading a book with a female anti-hero whose moral compass, paraphrasing the book, is slightly askew. The premise is interesting enough, but the protagonist is written as unlikeable and judgmental (in my opinion). I wish I had read the reviews on Goodreads before starting the book, as other reviewers mentioned that the language is foul and some of the scenes are disturbing, but since I never made it that far, nothing lost but a little bit of time. Roxy Abruzzio is owns a architectural salvage company in Pittsburgh. She comes from a family that has crossed the edges of honesty and the law, including an uncle who is family in the organized crime type of way. Roxy works hard across the lines of society. During a salvage job for a house about to be razed, she takes something not on her inventory setting into play a series of events that are funny, dangerous, and exciting.A good strong heroine with a sketchy past and present, living to support herself and to make a better life for her child. Very good, clever and witty.
Do You like book Foxy Roxy (2011)?
Not as good as her Blackbird Sister mysteries, but entertaining. It grew on me.

Good poolside reading. I like that it takes place in Pittsburgh.
