About book Fourth And Goal (2013)

I enjoyed this story for the most part, but there were times that it was a little slow going for me. I like sports romances but I'm more of a romance than sports lover. There was a lot of football in this, and while that's what the book was about, it was maybe a little too much for me. I liked Rachel and Derek and they had some pretty hot and steamy scenes. Tyler was a great secondary character, even though he was kind of an ass and had a penchant for dropping the F bomb. Actually, I thought his over use of the F word was pretty funny ;) The bit about Ryan broke my heart and had me tearing up. The bit with Rachel's dad wasn't as enjoyable though. Overall, I'd say it was a good steamy read. Sometimes, the problem with books included in a series is that it suffers side plots that introduce the main characters of the next book. It takes much space, and more often than not, it even outshines the main story or the main characters. It can come to a point where the supposedly supporting character gets as much focus as the main one in order to establish the bases for the plot of the next story. Although I enjoyed this book, said 'bases' annoyed me especially because it's about a character I disliked which is Tyler. Rest assured, I won't be reading his book.
