Didn't like this book at all. I've read the first three in the series (which I did like), skipped 4,5,6 as they didn't sound that good to me. Should have skipped this one as well. I can't believe I am even saying this but too much swearing and no apparent build up to almost immediate sex scenes. And what the heck kind of saying is "Thank f*ck". It that supposed to be like "thank goodness"? Perhaps "thank God"?. I only got 22% in and that phrase was used a couple of times. Decided I would never get that 45 minutes of my life back and did not want to waste any more of my valuable time. 3.5 starsI really enjoyed the first 70% of Steele and Maren's story. It was sexy, full of uberalpha moments, there was a decent amount of suspense, and it was romantic. But then it felt like there were bits that dragged, mostly times where it was pages of Maren and Steele waxing poetic about their relationship, which really slowed the pace of the novel. I think with 20 to 50 pages less, this would have been excellent.

My favourite book of the series! So thankful the paranormal aspect seems to have been dropped.
