I always like these strong bad but o so good controlling obsessive type men. I as usual liked this one also. I didn't not like the main female character Fallon. She really worked my nerves for some reason. Part of the problem was that he never told her things. He wanted to keep her safe and would tell half the story and she would run with whatever small information she had and make things much worse. He needed to tell her what was going on better if he really loved her and was risking his neck for her anyways. She needed to stop acting like a child. She did do things that clearly she didn't think through. I can't say because I don't want to ruin the book but you will now what I mean when you get there. After some time I wondered what he liked in her. After saying I didn't like Fallon, I can say I liked the story and I liked the man. The ending gave me something interesting to make me want to read the next book. I have to know how things play out from here and will they be together? I must know....On to the next part of the story. Book 1. Luca and Fallon. Made it to 50%, then lost interest as story dragged. Distracting and unusual use of vocabulary was easier to overlook in the beginning of the book. While these two do have wonderful chemistry, Luca began to seem to be more of a drama queen than mafioso. Other reviews say that the plot picks up at 60%, so I may return and finish this in the future. Others seem to love this one.No rating as DNF.
Loved this book, could not put it down.I loved Luca and Fallon, excited to start the next book.
