About book Flying Apron's Gluten Free & Vegan Baking Book (2009)
I may change the rating if I borrow it again and actually try some of the recipes. Right now I'm trying to acknowledge that I have too many books lurking around the house that are in fact for glancing through and not enough time.And it's not really me. I'm not vegan for starters. Several of the recipes that I like the look of have ingredients I have never seen in shops (I've jotted a few of them down for research purposes), many of them look lovely but suffer from my perenial problem, if I make that many, I'll have to eat them, and I'm trying desperately to lose weight.I'd like to visit them, or a similar bakery some day. This cookbook was a frustrating disappointment, like "BabyCakes", to me. Most of the reviews on Amazon are negative, too. After attempting several baking recipes that did not turn out (and wasting an irritating amount of time and money), I decided to have the book cut from its binding and removed only a few non-baking recipes before tossing the rest of it in to the recycle bin. I can only say the apron pocket (calzone) recipes are good.
