Honestly this book was not for me. It was far to religious for my liking and some of the reasoning for her being there when she didn't want to be was kind of ridiculous. And this was the second book I've read where the plot contains a girl who is the favorite in a "the bachelor" competition situation where she doesn't want to be there but the bachelor character likes her anyway. The biggest thing that might have made the book better in my opinion is if the religious overload was toned down. Overal was a quick read but not something I would read again. Me being me I didn't actually finish the summary or read any reviews before picking it up. So when I started I was surprised to find out it was Christian Fiction. While overall I found the book to be cute sweet and funny. The book was way too preachy and kept trying to enforce the idea that G*d put us here for a reason. And while I respect that view it is so far from my own and I had trouble wrapping my head around it. I was also annoyed at the fact that the author basically condemned all Christians and made Addy try to convert her friends. Sorry but NOPE....That's the other thing. I realize that a lot of this book was about proving that Christians aren't harsh and don't make judgements. I have nothing against Christianity but I don't believe in it and not because I think that Christians are judgmental... Just because I don't believe it. My rec is I think many will enjoy this but ya know read the reviews and summary before going into it. Also if you aren't a big fan of religion overall then just stay away from this one.
A little predictable and repetitive, but an all-around good modern rendition of the Esther story.
