About book Finding Your Way In A Wild New World: Reclaim Your True Nature To Create The Life You Want (2011)
I always wondered if Martha was a 'one liner' guru. I found out by reading this book that she's funny, smart and a mystic - but definitely not a one liner. Reading with an open heart, this book swept me away with its candor, humor and infinite love. It appealed to all my senses, my deepest desires and helped make a little sense of the chaos a team member feels when they first start out on their 'passion'.I am grateful for the resources it offered, instructions, encouragement and respect. I aim to reread as needed and thoroughly excited and terrified by what it catalysed in me. I got tired of this book. However, that is not surprising given I have a very low tolerance for new age self-help books. I read this book because my mom sent it to me because of its section on "wordlessness" and exercises to help you drop into this state of openness and attuned awareness. I liked this section very much and thought it was useful for cultivating a state of being that is under constant attack in our hyper-connected (but weirdly disconnected) world. I would give that section 5 stars and leave the rest of the book unrated because I think the folks that would self select and choose to read this book would probably rate the rest much higher than me.
