About book Finding Your Element: How To Discover Your Talents And Passions And Transform Your Life (2013)
I didn't really get anything out of this book, either. I seem to have a stretch of those lately. The anecdotes about people whose skills and passions aligned in some unlikely way were mildly entertaining, but had little to no bearing on my own circumstances. The advice here is not particularly revolutionary, revolving around making lists of things you are good at and things that you enjoy and seeing how they might overlap (there, now you don't have to read the book). If you really need help of that level to get you started on a new path in life, this might be good for you. I guess I may just be too good at helping myself for most self-help books to be of any help. Not the newest or exciting information, BUT how Ken puts it together did it for me. I did the exercises. This is an important book to read if you seek sustainable Happiness and want more than just good information to tickle your brain. I enjoyed the positive psychology and having read other material on this topic this book is really useful and easy to apply. Great value and it does what a workshop will.
