Not for the faint of heart or those turned off by the darker side of BDSM, this book is fantastic voyage into the rough stuff. The two MCs have great back stories, compelling and rich, families that should be mentioned in Dr. Spock's "How NOT to Parent" book. Well Except for Danny's mom who is a sweetheart. Paul is a love who I wanted to hug throughout the story. His heart was fragile even if his body wasn't. Danny was the same. Tough, and mean at times but the love he had was sweet and tender. When the sex started it left me breathless. The scenes were describes in such a way as I felt like I was right there, a voyeur to their coupling. Very well written. The way it ended made me scream and nearly throw my damn Nook across the room but did leave me wanting more. I will be buying the others in this series. Well done Kele Moon! Note: I was late to the party on these books and read them out of order. I decided to read Finding Eden (book 2) first since it was the prologue. I'm really glad I read them this way. I think seeing Danny & Paul as teenagers made me love them that much more in Beyond Eden (book 1). I'm sure they work great either way. Ok on to the good stuff.*slight spoilers*This is the story of two lifelong best friends, Danny & Paul. They both have dysfunctional families and painful drama at home. They look to each other for comfort and support as their 3rd bff and Paul's girlfriend, Evie, leaves for college. They are extremely close but both have dark secrets ... once the secrets are revealed it is game on for a crazy all-consuming passionate relationship. There are some really intense BDSM / edge play scenes in this book. It's certainly not for the faint of heart and may not be for everyone, but it really worked for me. Most books that I've read in the genre have the reluctant submissive but in this case it was Danny being a reluctant Dom to Paul's submissive side. Danny would do absolutely anything to be able to show his adoration and love for Paul. The love Danny has for Paul is so intense, so raw, so real, and so beautiful. It broke my heart. I had a mixture of euphoria and anxiety every time they were together. Danny’s my boy but Paul's character was wonderfully written too. He still seemed so innocent and pure yet his particular kinks turned him on to something only Danny could give him. The sex scenes in this book. Wow. There’s just something so freaking hot about two men together, especially these two men. I don't think I've met a hotter Dom than Danny Carlow. He's scorching hot. The imagery of him with a cigarette, bare-chested, sipping on his Cuban coffee with *that* look? Good lord. And I hate cigarette smoke! The way these men are written is so erotic it makes me want to climb into this book and become part of a Paul and Danny sandwich. And I’m a lesbian.I simply adored the nicknames Danny Boy and Paul Guy. I got all warm and fuzzy inside each time they called each other those names, particularly during their scorching HOT sex scenes. Please read this book. Read it and talk to me so we can discuss the hotness of Danny & Paul. Also. I'm sad that Kele Moon does not have a Twitter account. My latest hobby is stalking my favorite authors on Twitter.
Do You like book Finding Eden (2011)?
