It is loud. It is confident."This was Drew's first written words in her preface and I couldn't love her more than I do now. I am a HUGE fan of Drew Barrymore for as long as I can remember, not just as an actress but she REALLY seems like she'd be a cool person to hang out with in real life! So when I found out about her publishing a book of photographs she's compiled over the years, I knew I had to have it! I love the fact that her fans get to have a glimpse of her life through her personal collection of photos, and after having gone through them - especially when she said "Hearts are my beacons" - I knew that I've found a kindred spirit (and I honestly think we would've been the best of friends in another life!). I can't tell you how many instances where I find those shapes when I go out and I always feel like nature (or God) is trying to tell me something. And little things like that really makes me glad to be alive!I really heart Drew. And knowing that she's got such talents behind the camera makes me heart her even more! I am inspired to capture those moments instead of just letting the moments/images pass me by like I ALWAYS do. I'm inspired not to take it for granted anymore and I hope I'm able to commit to it :) So thank you for sharing your beautiful photos with us, Darling Drew. I hope to see more soon! xxx I like hearts and thought this was a cute idea-not because Drew Barrymore wrote it. I am always skeptical when celebrities (esp actors) are using their status for other things. However, I like how she sees hearts in mundane objects, because they truly do show up everywhere. I felt like this idea came from the original blog by photographer Karen Walrond. She had the idea of posting heart images with a short entry and reader/bloggers would join in. This book has nice images, may make a great gift, but will probably end up on the deep discount table in the bookstores fairly quickly.
