About book Few Things Left Unsaid (2011)

My best friend had given.me this book as birthday present. The cover is beautiful and summary looks intresting and I was excited to read it. but turns out this book is completely waste of time. It has no plot what so ever. Writing isnt that great. and it looks more like a guys diary with lots of imapropriate thoughts in it than.a book. I have no idea why it is so popular. The only reason I havnt thrown that book out of my house is that its my best friend's present to me. When a book has a catchy title and cover page, one would definitely expect a treat inside. But it is said that one must not judge a book by its cover. According to me, this is one such book. I mean no offence, this is my personal view and I do not expect people to agree with me. Very average narration, dialogues, descriptions, poor grammar and too much focus on the unnatural, crazy love they had for each other along with usage of words like bacchu, husband, wife and concept of unofficial marriage prevented this book from making a positive impact. The story is stretched so much it, takes a toll on the reader's patience. Also, the story is just like any other story decorated excessively with excruciating pain that the main characters feel when they break up which puts you into another different sort of pain, where you curse yourself for picking up this book.Even for majority die hard romantic people, this book is a drag. I can say this with assurance because I belong to that category. If I had to be sincere, I would not recommend this book to anyone. I would rather ask them to shell in some more money and go for love stories that really touch your heart and leave a lasting impression, something like "The Notebook", "A Walk To Remember" because these are the stories that have substance, a tale that will move you.I have more to say but i guess this much is enough for now. I apologise for the harsh and unflattering review but I really couldn't get myself to like this book.
