Amber Fox was a hard character to like.I liked the mixture of chick lit and murder mystery, and the plot surrounding a fashion designer was, for the most part, good. What rubbbedme the wrong way was Amber's total disregard for the two men in her life. It's not cute when a guy does it and it's not for a woman either. No logic to her confusion whatsoever.Turned me off from wanting to continue the series. Definitely not a bad book: it was fast paced and the lead wasn't the kind of annoying airhead that makes me want to claw my eyes out, and her pratfalls etc did actually make me chuckle a time or two.The bit that let it down is the numerous coincidences between these characters and those in Janet Evanovich's Stefanie Plum series's - it made me feel as though I'd read parts of the book before... The author has shown that she has talent, so I don't see why she felt the need to heavily borrow from another series. I doubt I'll bother reading any more books in this series because of the whole been-there-read-that deja vu feel - especially a looming love triangle, which is what I feel ruined the Stefanie Plum series.

Quick reading. Quite predictable plot, but nice easy funny reading. I really enjoyed this book.

Quite a good concept for a story, with a fun main character.
