Although only a novella, this still had a journey, emotion, a beautiful love scene, and lots of laughs. I absolutely loved A Song For Julia, book #1 from this series. Loved It!! I cried a river, and gloried in the beautifully imperfect characters (punk band lead singer, Diplomats daughter, opposites attract, with a backdrop of the beginning of war in Afghanistan set in 2002). So this companion novella, I was ecstatic to catch up with Crank and Julia. They still had a bit to go before HEA. Misunderstandings, jealousy, mis communication. They were well on the way to a break up. And to make things worse, they were on the road trip from hell with their younger siblings (Sean continues to bring much comic relief, I love him!!)A fitting end to Crank and Julia's story. I am loving this highly emotional series and look forward to the next in the series. 4.5 STARSMy only complaint about this is that it's too short, I wanted more! This whole series has just been a fantastic read for me.Crank and Julia are such stubborn characters, I wanted to throttle them both at times. But I could feel the love underneath the anger. They made me laugh and tear up at times.I loved the little side trip to Texas.Sean was a riot, he made me LOL several times. He and Carrie were just such nerds together!I am looking forward to the next book (about Andrea), the Thompson sisters are on my must buy list.
Do You like book Falling Stars (2013)?
Love this series. I really loved Sean (Cranks younger brother with Aspergers) in this story.
