NA/College story. This is the story of Autumn and Blake who meet in college. He's a football star at the college and she's trying to reinvent herself after a horrific time in high school (which is supposed to be a mystery but pretty damn easy to figure out). She has no interest in dating, but is attracted to Blake despite her reservations. They first become friends, but then it morphs into something else, and then a relationship and there's a pretty major betrayal.I wanted to like this book more than I did, but there's something missing. For me I think it was the romance.... which was kind of flat. I don't mean the sex. There are elements of romance, but I think that's because Blake had been hiding his secret from her the entire time. He's like the worst book boyfriend ever. The ideas are good, it's pretty well-written, but it's missing some of the punch and romance. I received Finding Autumn and Falling for Autumn as a Goodreads First Read giveaway. Falling for Autumn is a Romance novel. Romance is not usually a genre I enjoy. Many of the stories seem so fake and forced. I usually end up putting them down but Falling for Autumn is different. Autumn is escaping from rumors about an incident and cannot stand to deal with people. She heads off to college with hopes to put the whole fiasco in the past. Autumn tries to rebuild her life but she can't shake the memories of the feelings she left behind when she meets Blake. The characters in the novel are well developed. The author explores themes such as romance, love, loss, and overcoming hurt feelings. The story has a great flow. Heather Topham Wood does a great job of reaching tender feelings. You relate with Autumn and want to keep reading the story to see how she will interact with Blake. I didn't want to put this down once I started reading it which isn't something that happens often in romance for me. I give this book "5 out of 5" stars and am looking forward to reading Finding Autumn next!

Some definite adult material, but I'm a sucker for romance.
