About book Faking Mr. Right (2012)

I loved this book. The only thing that kept it from getting 5 stars was the editing. There were so many errors with double and missing words that it interrupted the flow of the story. The beta reader in me cringed every time another one was found. I wish I had gotten my hands on this before it was published. I hate reading a book that has so many errors that should have easily been corrected by an editor or beta reader. All in all, great story....just needs polishing. I took advantage of this when it was a free e-book. I don't often read romantic comedies, so I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting. The book was light and fun - but it did have its deep elements...especially when we discover why our hero is making the "sacrifice" of becoming Mr. Right.I hadn't expected two romances to be spotlighted in the story, but they actually worked well together as each relationship helped to cast a light on what was going wrong (or right) with the other.I enjoyed the family dynamics brought into play - Mel's brother is a good sounding board without coming across as "preachy." Yes, I've seen other reviews that said this book was a little predictable, and it was, but in a good way. I think I could best describe this as having a "Lifetime holiday movie" feel to it - light, sweet, and a nice way to pass the time.

Cute, clever, and sweet. Nothing deep or life-altering.
