Do You like book Faelorehn - Book One Of The Otherworld Trilogy (2012)?
I received Faelorehn from NetGallery in exchange for a honest review. I found Meghan Elam an interesting character, she always knew she was different and just accepted it. Despite being sent to therapists and medication tried the things that made her different never went away so she hid them away and pretended to everyone else that strange things never occurred. Later on as more unexplainable things start happening to Megan she begins to question her sanity which I could totally see a teenage girl doing. The plot moved along at a steady pace and the normal time of Meghan's life was just summed up in a paragraph or so which was nice since it meant not reading filler. The grammar and word choice was well done so I never had to stop and re-read a part to understand what the author was trying to say. Sadly it was the romance that kept me from giving a five star score. Meghan seemed like a sensible girl until it came to romance and it was not until Cade showed up that she really even started to think about boys too much, while an earlier crush was mentioned I was given the impression Meghan ahd no experience with guys at all. Thus her instant attraction to Cabe I could understand but that turning into more right away had me feeling doubts over it. Even though Faelorehn is a series I was happy with the ending. Enough information was given that book one felt like it ended at a nice spot. While I want to read the second book it is not because of something lacking in the first book and more about my own desire to know what else happens to Meghan.

This is a delightful little book written by a young woman who successfully speaks in a teenager's voice about the feelings of being "different". It also introduces the reader to a new world in the fantasy genre. As an adult, I found it quite enjoyable and yet feel confident in suggesting it to my daughters and granddaughter to read. I look forward to reading the rest of the trilogy from this talented author.
