Once again Rebecca Yarros has written a must read. I was so excited to get my hands on this novel. At the same time, I was fretting it. I absolutely loved Full Measures, and I was afraid that Eyes Turned Skyward wouldn't live up to how phenomenal Full Measures was. I can honestly say this novel was perfection. I was swept away from the start and fully engrossed in the story until the very end. The characters are fantastic and the story is nothing short of brilliant. I couldn't help but cry, ache, and smile as Paisley and Jagger fought against time and past indiscretions to find their piece of happily ever after. I cannot recommend this book enough. It has stuck with me long after reading it and has cemented Rebecca Yarros as one of my all time favorite authors. This was my first book by Rebecca Yarros and I am an instant fan. If you are looking for an emotional and exciting read then look no further. This book has it all: drama, romance, intriguing situations, and heartfelt characters. Paisley is a strong and sweet female character. Her love for the world and desire to live in the moment completely with abandonment is admirable and inspiring. Jagger's determination to see a great future and achieve his goals makes him a man that sails above other book boyfriends in new adult literature today. Both of our main characters have direction but together that direction is tethered to something more profound. The trials and pain they both experience is real and tragic. I love how their drama and past didn't create needy and overly dramatic characters. Instead we see two people who are well rounded and realistic. This book was such an unexpected and incredible read. I loved the relationship between Jagger and Paisley. It was sweet with a perfect amount of spice!! I would highly recommend this book to lovers of New Adult literature! One click now!
