About book Every Which Way (2000)

I'm not sure what to say about this book except that after finishing it I feel exhausted... in a good way. Severine is exhausting... she fights herself and her feelings so much I'm not sure how she does it. I love Thayer. He's so amazing. As for Macsen-- I'll just say it's always the quiet ones... and leave it hanging at that. I'm curious to see what's going to happen in the next book... I have a feeling some serious dramarama is going to be happening. Emilia-- as I said, always the quiet ones... I never know what to expect with a story of a girl and two brothers, so my curiosity won me over... After my first experience with Calia Read's 'Unravel' book (which I couldn't put down) I was ready for more. I really like this author, she may be rough around the edges for me at times but I like what she's got to say. I want to keep listening...{{{Possible Spoilers Below}}}'Every Which Way' was hard to get in to. I went along with the story's main character 'Severine' sizing people up left and right, I gotta say I'm not a big fan of Severine for that reason(She needs a Big piece of Humble Pie). That might be what had me fed up at times thru the book. She was so arrogant and rude. But I didn't stop reading. Calia makes her male leads pretty yummy and I wanted to see the banter as this book went on. And like the friends all around Severine & Thayer, I too liked seeing them and what they were going to do next. Calia does a good job with the electricity between these two. The build up made me stay and I am SO glad I did, more on that later...First Macsen & Severine...I really understood this direction Severine took. The safety in choosing the guy who was adorable but not so darn hot he might be too hot to handle and leave you burned. I was just as bored with these two as Severine was, and when Thayer was around I was as zoned in on the book as Severine was on Thayer. Calia made it so believable and understandable why they (M&S) didn't work. Severine was waaay too hot for him to handle. She was a firestarter and she choose the calm one, so he was in no way able to handle her, he even said it, kind of when they would get hot and heavy and you thought something was gonna ignite, he would stop and never pull the trigger to go further. I felt like he wanted to please Severine so much that it made him afraid to do anything but look at her in awe. And I get why. Ultimately things didn't go so well and then they are no more.Thayer & Severine... from page 159 in my Nook book copy (or better yet, Chapter 34 if that helps) till the end of the book, I couldn't put the book down. It was what I, personally, was waiting for the whole time. These two were intense. I would give this book 5+ stars for Thayer alone. Calia is no joke when she creates these male leads. I could see how these two were a force to be reckoned with. Calia how did you not break keys while typing this section of the book... Wheew, is all I can say about what happens when they get their turn together. To get to this part of the book was like desert at the end of the night. That was what made the whole journey thru the story worth it. I WILL be looking at reading more by this author. Thank you Calia.

Do You like book Every Which Way (2000)?

Hoorible book - inconsistent, unclear, with stupid reasoning why she couldn't by with Thayer.

Just couldn't get into it. Maybe I'll try it again another time.
