About book Everlight: Das Buch Der Unsterblichen (2012)
i read this recently and instantly fell In love with it. I mean noah. Awww just…noah. Perfection. And then the fact that the substitute’s name is Mr. Shaw? Coincidence? I think not.This author must have read the Mara Dyer series!OMG!And I just love alchemy. Its so interesting.So alchemy+romance+little twists+other books= instant fangirls.And Seraphina? She is amazing. Perfect…(well maybe not…I mean she did kill a bunch of girls to live for a little bit longer)…..but her character…is….so intricate and different from others. Totally recommend this book to anyone, well anyone who can handle british accents. I find the story really interesting. Incarnates are the ones who can switch from his / her original body to another dying or near dying body. Cyrus, a brilliant Alchemist discovered this , turned Seraphina into immortality the night she was almost killed. For six hundred years, they lived from one body to another. Until Seraphina could not take it anymore and decided to escape Cyrus control. She fled , along with Cyrus book and decided to end it. End her life and be finally free.Everything should be in plan until she tried to saved another dying girl ...and be inside that girl, Kaylie. She never expected to know this girl. To know her family . Her friends. And to meet Noah...the boy that made her heart flutter. The boy she wants to get know...the boy who makes her want to stay and not flee. But how could she, if she always feared that Cyrus is always out there to get her?I like how this book talked about the possiblity of transfering a soul to another body. It also made me ask, what happens to the soul they freed ? Or more of they robbed.. When Cyrus decides to kill a prospect body. Where will the soul go? End up in a void or just floating somewhere? I think this bothered Seraphina too. She was inside Kaylie body, she was inside Kaylie's life. Whatever she does, everything affects the people around Kaylie. It made her missed her own life way back before Cyrus turned her into a body snatcher. This could be a good story but for me it lack something, I wish it has more romance , the one with Kaylie and Noah... And more background story about Cyrus and Seraphina. It did not explore Cyrus' clear obssession over her. A little back story , I think would make everything more interesting.The ending was such a cliffhanger in a way that keep me guessing ...and feared for Seraphina! Overall, it's a good book for me...but it could be better.
