This one is a seamless continuation of the previous 3. So all the same complaints and all the same likes. I'd like to reiterate though, I wish VERY bad, VERY painful things on Annie. Long torturous death would be VERY nice! God I hate that character so much! This book had a lot more frustrating moments than the previous books, in my opinion, but it was equally complex and interesting. VERY VERY VERY sad that I'm going on the last book written now. I thought the series was finished when I started, wasn't until book 3 that I realized it was still in motion. SHIT! I hate waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the fourth book in Adrien Phoenix's Maker's song series. I really like this series but you have to pay attention. Lots of characters and the feebees and the Shadow Branch do bleed together until everyone stakes their side of the fence. As good as the stories are they are also heartbreaking. Dante has so used and abused it's tough not to hope like hell he makes it through another day. His lover ex FBI agent Heather Wallace is perched on so many razor's edges how she manages to keep Dante in the here and now and not lose herself is a testament to this heroin's love. The author left us with one hell of a cliff hanger but I don't care. It just leaves you with something to look forward to. Can't wait for 2012
