This was just okay. In a lot of ways, the plot was getting redundant; the characters were basically encountering the same situations and having the same, seemingly identical thoughts about the supervolcano. More than that, it seemed like the truly interesting stuff was happening off stage to other people. Add in the fact that two thirds of the characters were basically unlikeable, and it all added up to just an okay story. I think this is where I'm getting off. Had some trouble making up my mind about this book. The disaster itself, the aftermath and its effects on various places and people's lives were interesting, well written and quite thought provoking. I could have given the book 4 stars. The characters on the other hand, ugh. I liked main character Colin and maybe two of the others. With most of the rest I kept wishing the book would do a 'Game of Thrones' and bump a few off for me so I didn't have to follow their story anymore. Could have given the book 2 stars.I'll settle for an overall 3 stars, but will hold off reading the second book in the series next and instead read a couple of others on my 'to read' list that are sitting around the house.
Do You like book Eruption (2011)?
Horrible book. Boring and once again the word to sum up this book is horrible
