This is book 1 of the Cascadia Wolves Series. I was reluctant to read this book because it got so many bad reviews. But I must say , they were all wrong. This book was engaging. The main characters were thought out and witty. I love a strong female lead. And the people who said they didn't know Nina Reyes was Latino until the 50% mark, that's just ridiculous. Her name is Reyes. Jeesh. The tri-bond mating is awesome, what a great concept. I think the ones who stopped the book because of that are just ignorant of multiple partners. It's ok, enlightenment comes with the will to open your mind to new idea, not everyone has that ability. This was a really good book. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. I am going to start this review by saying that I am a shifter addict. I feel like I have read so many shifter books now that they all seem to be the same in the meaning of "feeling the wolf surfacing" and what not. This book had a great story line outside of the whole wolf thing. This is a great start for the series. I loved the spin of the tri-bond, I loved Nina's sarcasm and wit. I always love a good romance with a little spitfire in it. There is great sex scenes (not appropriate for teens) and a great finish. I give this 4 fangs because I need more unique wolfie things that are not played out already and this book did not give me much on that aspect.
