This is a book about letting go and acceptance of self. That is a wonderful theme and the message to be true to yourself is important. This is a bdsm book and I enjoyed all the peeks into the bdsm lifestyle. Emerald/Julianna is a submissive looking for her "one true Dom" while volunteering/working weekends at a sex club. Emerald is under the protection of a Dom ("Daddy") but she is not his sub. Therefore, she is unfulfilled sexually and emotionally, and longs to be "owned." I really liked Emerald and Daddy's relationship, and his ability to guide her through the lifestyle, especially given her tendency to be sassy. Daddy's sub, Travis, was a great secondary character, full of fun and spunk, like Emerald.Emerald has dreams for years about a doppelganger/ghost instructing her to find her mystery man, her "one." When she finally meets this mystery man, named "Mika", the scenes are explosive, emotional, and just plain hot. He, however, is not looking for a sub, any sub, and this leads to confusion and conflict. Julianna and Mika's relationship was not developed as much as I would like. It's told from her POV, but we know Mika watched her for years at the club, unbeknownst to her, and fell in love with her. Then, something bad happens, he reveals himself, they have only a couple of scenes together before another tragedy strikes, and then it's insta-love for her as well. Because he is looking for more than a Dom/sub relationship, a stronger bond, *no spoilers*, I believe more time could have been spent explaining the bond or pull between them and deepening the relationship. For example, I would have loved a scene or two where he is watching her at the club and struggling with his desire or more encounters between them before they decide on "forever."It should be noted I did not like the ghostly dreams or the author's tendency to be too descriptive. Regarding Julianna being haunted by a ghost in her dreams,I can suspend reality because this is fiction, but I need to be able to believe in the story and it's events. This believability was compromised. The dreams would have served the same purpose if they happened only once instead of multiple times; she'd still be haunted by what it revealed or implied. As far as some passages being too descriptive, it felt like "filler" and this took away from the flow of the story, sometimes making the writing feel forced and tough to follow. That being said, it was a good, quick read with some fun secondary characters. While I am not usually a fan of glitter kink (Billionaire BDSM Clubs) this book is an exception! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know these characters. They are complex and well written. The steamy sex is on the mark in its portrayal of the kinky side of life. Jenna gives you a realistic look at the lifestyle of those in power exchange relationships. This book is gripping, steamy, thoughtful and totally at the top of my you have to read it list.

I loved it, I just wished to see more of Emerald and her Dom at play as well as Drake and his slave.
