arghhhhwhy was this book so short???awesome follow-up. this book had me screaming at my laptop. WTF? why are characters so stupid sometimes and so easily manipulated. why does there have to be a master puppeteer? I hate Darkyn he's the biggest douchenozzle in the history of douchebags, really.poor Rhyn, my heart suffers alongside yours, you little heart. I can't wait to read what happens next with him and Katie. maybe their plans will not be forfeit the next time and they'll live happily ever after :) Another great book. It was so much fun to read. The first one was slower because of character development; the second one was able to move along much faster because I was already familiar with the characters (but there was still good character development). I loved how in this book Rhyn actually becomes a good guy and I started rooting for him. He wasn't a jerk anymore but truly cared for Katie, even to the point of knowing that he needed to find sustenance from others because Katie was too weak. Great read and can't wait to read book 3.
