About book El Bebé De La Novia (2008)

This book is a typical happily-ever-after romance book.Basically, this wedding planner had to face the billionaire to discuss the costs that the wedding incurred especially now that the bride-to-be ran off with one of the wedding planner's staff members. The groom wasn't happy about the event but he wasn't heartbroken. After all, he and the wedding planner had a sexual encounter after the meeting. There can be consequence to sexual encounters and one of them is a new life growing in the womb. She wrote him a letter after he left the country to inform of the pregnancy. 6 months later, she's preparing her fantasy wedding for a charity at her old home to another man. Turns out the old home now belongs to the father of the baby. Oh crap... He walked in and saw her. He recalled 2 months before that he was planning to see her but stopped shortly when he read the wedding announcement. Uh oh... The feelings they had for each other came back.... Will she go through with the wedding???As I said, it's a typical romance book. I only did 2 stars because it was ok. The Goodreads shows "it was ok" so I followed that rating system. Would I want to re-read it? No, not really. Will I remember the story a few books later? No, I'm not even sure I'll remember it after I start reading the next book. Not memorable but not bad-written. I don't usually like books where the conflict is almost entirely based on lack of communication. But this worked quite well with missed letters, Celebrity headlines and just plain cussedness preventing the clarification of whose baby and what wedding. The hero and heroine are both likeable and realistic people with flaws and failings and past histories that make much of what goes on believable. It is a light weight book even if it does touch on a couple of deeper issues and just right for a mindless couple of hours with a touch of angst and emotion and the guaranteed happy ending.
