I couldn't stop reading this amazing love story. And once I've finished it I couldn't stop crying! It is movingly beautiful, one of those stories that you will remember forever, one that takes hold of your heart and makes you think about love and life. Personally I am wary of love stories, but this one is so much more than that ... Its about choices, about life, about hurt and accepting the hand you have been dealt. But also about love ... Will and Lou seems to have healed each other in some way. She gave him love, he gave her life. A moving and touching story, one I HIGHLY recommend! I'm so glad I waited on the hold list for this wonderful read. Female lead Lou Clark is hired to take care of Will post-accident quadriplegic, who plans to commit (?) euthanasia in 6 months. That description makes it sound depressing, but it isn't. It's funny and sweet and lovely and a delight to scroll through. I wondered the entire way through how they would manage to wrap up the ending/resolution, because she has written about real world problems and they are messy and sometimes no one likes the journey or the ending, but that doesn't mean we stop trying to live our lives. I think this could be our generations "Love Story."I wasn't sure what to expect from this book. The cover looks like a bad 1960s romance and the descriptions were all over the place. I'm afraid I can't describe it well either, as it doesn't fit into a traditional genre. It would be dishonest to call it a romance novel, as it doesn't have any sexy scenes, but the story is definitely romantic in a Nicholas Sparks way. It was very British, but not like Bridget Jones (side note: are all dad figures in the UK douchey? Why are they always written as insulting their daughters weight and intelligence? I imagine that everyone in Indian thinks Americans live in Hollywood and drive fast cars - I imagine every dad in England is a jerk.) Apparently I can't do any better job of describing the text than anyone else, but I heartily encourage you to read it for yourself.
