What saddens me about the hype around this book was that it was more about whether the story would be true or not instead of the impact of the story. Even if the story wouldn't be true, there are so many girls out there who go through a similar kind of thing, and that's discussion not enough had in my opinion. The writing style was very simple, but that makes it easier for anyone to read it. I finished this book in one day. Though I missed some depth in this book, it's a quite shocking and realistic story which I would still recommend anyone to read. The writer could have gone a little more into the effects of the forced prostitution and the ways of working by the pimps, now she seems like a really naive girl. Over dit boek zij veel verschillende meningen te vinden.Maar geen enkel boek kan goed gevonden worden dan eerst door mensen slecht gevonden te worden.En zo zie ik dat ook bij dit boek.Het is een verschrikkelijk iets waar Maria Mosterd in terecht kwam. Oke, ze was een beetje naief en ze had beter na kunnen denken of kunnen handelen. Maar vergeet niet dat iedereen ergens anders mee omgaat.Het was een erg interessant boek en het leest enorm makkelijk weg.Ik vind het boek erg goed geschreven, Maria heeft alles goed verwoord en de laatste zin is 1 die ik nooit meer zal vergeten, het is zo dubbel en daarom zo goed.Dit boek moet echt verplicht worden op de middelbare scholen, zodat het herkent wordt en het voorkomen kan worden.
