About book Dying To Forget, Book 1 Of The Station Series (2013)

I honestly cannot believe that this book has a 4 star rating here on Goodreads. There are so many grammar, spelling and word misuse mistakes that the author must be barely literate. She seems to believe that one pluralizes common nouns by adding "'s". She did that at least a dozen times. If you ignore the mistakes, the writing is not terrible. The story is simple-minded. I read the entire book because I wondered whether she was going to come up with something brilliant at some point, but she didn't. The plot is full of unexplained, inexplicable events that just come out of nowhere. There are several places where it would appear that the author was interrupted, came back to her word processor and continued without checking to see where she had left off.Don't read this book, it is a total waste of time. This book sounded interesting enough, so I grabbed a copy. It was actually better than I expected it to be, to be honest. After a series of unfortunate events, Piper Willow commits suicide, but instead of going to heaven or hell she ends up in some kind of purgatory called The Station, where suicide victims are trained and assigned to go back and help others, to keep them from making the same mistakes. The only problem I had with this book was that I thought Piper's assignments were too easy. She never really seemed to struggle to help the people she was assigned to. I would have liked to see a little more trouble there. But it didn't stop me from liking the book, or wanting to read the second on, Dying to Remember. She left the book on a cliffhanger and I really wish she would have just made it one book.
