I loved this and of course it had special meaning as it was the last Pern novel that Anne McCaffrey wrote before she passed away. She wrote this with her son and her legacy to her son and daughter was that they alone could continue the Pern stories. A pretty clear picture of surviving on an outpost far from civilization and how people are changed by circumstances and how society evolves.....and dragons!!! Well... What could I say without hurting the authors? I mean, I'm totally FOND of the Pern Saga and Anne McCaffrey's work, I even enjoyed a lot her collaboration with his son and the books he wrote alone...But this one is... confused... boring... so much that for the first time in a while I couldn't even finish it.I really loved the "Sky Weyr" idea; that was really great! Same for the girl riding a blue for the first time. But too much time travels kill a book! Sometimes, I couldn't even remember where and when we were... I knew that dragon riders had different way to live that others people and even if I could understand the "sharing" thing between Fiona/K'dan/Lorana and Fiona/T'mar/Shaneese (even if for me the true couples always will be K'dan/Lorana and Fiona/T'mar ^^), the way the couple come and go in this book is really too much for me...I couldn't feel any connection with the characters and didn't have the perseverance to wait to know the end before pushing it aside...A really disappointing book to end a really interesting five books serie... So, for me, even if at the end of "Dragon's Time" (book four) not anything is solve, this book will be the last and "Sky Dragons" will not see the sun...
