About book Dr House I Filozofia - Wszyscy Kłamią (2009)
Loved it, great stuff, havent watcehd HOuse for ages, but made me want to go back and lok again, bit samey in parts - series of essays really by clever people who appraoched it tongue in cheek but , well done. I liked the introdcution to the feminist ethic of care - made me read more on this issue which is used often when we debate the roles of nurses who "care" and doctors who "cure" in theold Dr in the HOuse paradigm.. oh did I use the word paradigm..sorry. It was a good book. This book includes a series of serious philosophical analyses of a fictional character, Dr. Gregory House. Most of these analyses are full of philosophical jargon which makes them dense to read. However, a few of them are so thoughtful and insightful that I have to say I very much enjoyed this book. I particularly enjoyed the essays viewing House through Zen, the Socratic Method, and the Pragmatist philosophies.

Surfacy philosophy but I still loved it! Pretty much couldn't put it down.
