About book Double Trouble (2010)

Second book in the PJ Sugar series.PJ is now working for Jeremy as a PI assistant while dealing with a marriage proposal from her high school sweetheart, Boone. When she becomes involved in being "bait" for someone who is in the witness protection program all bets are off. Finished this book in 3 hours. Not over the top funny, but PJ sure does get involved in some crazy stuff. Reminds me of Stephanie Plum to a certain degree.Definitely recommend this series to others, even if you aren't a Christian fiction reader. It's not the whole premise of the book.On to book 3... I really like the PJ Sugar series. Warren has created a fun, true to life character in PJ Sugar (but two novels in we still don't know what PJ stands for...). PJ is smart, she takes risks and above all, she is trying to live her faith in an authentic way. She's also trying to find love - and determine if Boone her high school "tattoo-mate" is also her soul mate.I think what I like most about PJ Sugar is that she makes mistakes. She's not perfect. She could be your best friend. (Well, your goofy, never know what will happen next best friend.)Double Trouble is the second book in the series, but stands alone well. I'll admit, I understood a bit more because I read the first novel - but I think Warren provides enough "back story" that you'll do well if this is your first taste of "sugar." (You'll probably find that you enjoyed the book so much, that you'll want to go back to read how it all began.)Can't get enough of PJ? Licensed for Trouble the third novel (tentative title) in the series will release later this year.
