Das kleine Büchlein ist ein Auszug aus dem Leben eines Käfighamsters. Es beschreibet das triste Leben von Edward, der die Sinnlosigkeit seines Lebens in Worte fasst und niederschreibt. Ich finde es witzig geschrieben, auch wenn die Thematik eher traurig stimmt. Die Bebilderung finde ich recht gelungen. Zitat S. 50:"Heute bin ich acht Monate alt. Ach, die Dinge, die ich schon erlebt habe. Das Rad. Der Boden.Der Ball. Das Ra... hatte ich schon."Ein interessantes Buch für Hamsterfreunde, dass aber leider bereits in kurzer Zeit gelesen ist. Nur für Leser geeignet, die Sarkasmus mögen. This is the cute and sometimes sad tale of the life of Edward the hamster. It is told from Edward's perspective in a diary/journal format.Throughout the book there are illustrations accompanying many of the journal entries. There is also an epilogue regarding the "owners" of Edward.In its entirety, this tale has a unique and fun atmosphere and flavor. I liked Edward. Overall, a neat read.
