Eh...this was okay. I was expecting a bit more, I don't know...something. This was just basically bits and pieces taken from The Skulls books where Chaos Bleeds were first introduced and smashed together to produce this first book of the spin off series, because quite frankly nothing much happened. At least nothing new, about 85% of the book I already knew based on prior Skulls books, so nothing was shocking. The only new stuff was the situation with young Judi, that's it.Many readers didn't like Devil, but having gotten to know him some through his help with the Skulls, I already knew he was an asshole so that didn't come as a shock to me at all. Lexie was the typical stupid female that pretended she wasn't interested and didn't want Devil, but in reality she was and she did. I really hate it when female leads can't even play hard to get correctly...dumbass..Overall, this was actually pretty boring, only because there was so much repetition from other books and what wasn't repetitive just entailed the Chaos Bleeds setting up shop and staking a claim just like Tiny did in Fort Wills, I'll stick with the series though because I'm hoping the next book to get better as each book comes out, just like their predecessor.... So this was basically the spin off to the Skulls so I was looking forward to reading about Devil and Lexie - yep not feeling it so much. What I love in books is the build up between the couple and no I don't want the build up to take forever either but all of a sudden Devil sees and and wants her and basically she is his and that's it. I just thought the story could have been better and not so rushed - the writing wasn't so good either. I just don't feel much of a connection with these characters.Maybe the series will get better so we will see.

Good concept and storyline but horrible, i mean horrible grammar and no real depth. Maybe .5 star.
