I have not read a Jack Higgins book since "The Eagle Has Landed" and I have never read any of the Sean Dillon series. Having finished this I can confidently say I won't be reading any more of either. This type of "heavy on the hardware" adventure thriller is not my cup of tea. The plot is Ok, but the writing is purely functional; it cannot be compared to the Daniel Silva series or "I Am Pilgrim". The characterisation is fairly wooden and the dialogue could appear in "speech balloons".Definitely not for me, but he sells so what do I know? Sara Gideon Joins the Team. Sara Gideon, military wounded hero joins the team as Ali Selim attempts to corner the market back in Yemen by sponsoring and blackmailing Owen Rashid while publicly spewing Al Queda's message in London to a receptive crowd of expat muslims. Selim becomes ingraced with attacking Ferguson's troops, and they grab Sara Gideon, drug her and remove her to Rubat on Selim's borrowed boat. Before Selim can interrogate Sara or torture her, Sean Dillon, Daniel Holley and Greg Slay storm the boat, kill the ragheads and rescue Sara to return to civilization where Daniel can property romance her.
Do You like book Devil Is Waiting, A (2012)?
This was a better effort than his recent novels, but it still lacked detail and a compelling story.

Entertaining enough action/mystery novel located in London. Would recommend.
