I also loved this book but must admit that I did love To Wed A Highlander just a small bit better.Michele Sinclair really knows how to write a good story but what is even better are her characters. She also has a fantastic way of describing things in her book's.The heat level in this book was not as hot as in TWAH was but it was still there as well as the love that I could fell between the H&H.I was all set to continue on with this series but found out the book Michele just released The Christmas Knight is not part of this series. This series has 4 more brothers to explore and it does say at Michele's web site that she has plans to write them. I for one certainly hope so. If they were already written I would just continue reading until they were all read. That being said, I do plan to read The Christmas Knight in the very near future and any other book she writes. wow. I must add more to thisDESIRING THE HIGHLANDER IS SET IN THE HIGHLANDS OF SCOTLAND, COLE IS A SCARRED WARRIOR, A MAN WHO TOOK A DEATHBED VOW AND MADE IT TO HIS CHILDHOOD FRIEND. HE HAS LIVED HIS LIFE VOWING TO AVENGE HIS FRIENDS DEATH AND IN TURN HE HAS HATED EVERYTHING ENGLISH. WHEN COLE IS TRICKED INTO RETRIEVING SOMETHING FOR HIS SISTER-IN-LAW HES HAS NO IDEA WHAT IT IS AND FINS HIMSELF ON THE HATED ENGLISH SOIL AND ONCE AGAIN IS REMINDED OF THE VOW.ELLENOR IS WHAT HE HAS TO BRING BACK AND SHE IS NON TOO HAPPY AND COMPLETELY UNAWARE OF WHO HER TRAVELING COMPANIONS ARE OR WHAT'S IN STORE FOR HER MOST OF ALL SHE HAS NO IDEA THAT SOMEONE HAS SENT FOR HER. SHE FEELS SHE HAS BEEN BARTERED OFF BY HER SIS AND BROTHER-IN-LAW AND NON TOO HAPPY ABOUT IT.BOTH HAVE EMOTIONAL WALLSOF HATREAD BUILT UP THAT BEGIN TO CRUMBLE THE FIRST DAY AND CONTINUE UNTIL THEY FALL.THIS STORY IS RICH WITH HUMOR, WILL MAKE YOU CRY, AND LAUGH. HAS JUST THE RIGHT TENSION AND CONFLCT THAT MAKE YOU WANT TO READ ON. SINCLAIR HAS DESCRIBED THE SURROUNDING OF THE TWO CHARACTERS AND OTHERS IN THEIR LIVE SO WELL YOU CAN ACTUALLY VISUALIZE IT . SHE MAKES YOU WANT MORE. ONLY A FEW WRITERS HAVE DONE THAT FOR ME AND THEY WOULD BE NORA ROBERTS, KOHANNA LINDSEY AND ELIZABETH LOWELL. KUDOS FOR THIS ONE. DON'T MISS IT!...
