I was really disappointed in this one. The characters were so flat & predictable, I had to start skimming over things because I already knew what the outcome would be. There was absolutely no point of conflict to make things interesting. Oh sure there were opportunities for conflict, but instead they would just agree on EVERYTHING from his kid, whom he didn't even know existed, showing up randomly to her hang ups with her past. Not even the TONS of side stories that were thrown in, which were also so predictable, could liven this one up for me. It was beyond frustrating and boring. I think this series has potential, but I didn't enjoy the (male) characters as much as I expected. The good part - tattooed guy with a big body and a beard and a Dominant side and a heroine that has a backbone (even if she sometimes flounders). The sex was well written and hot, but still, I expected the guy to be a little more Alpha when it comes to dealing with stuff. I am curious though about the second book, so I'll keep going.
