About book Deep Blue Secret (2011)

Dropped about 25% the way through. I knew it was time when I started skimming chapters. It just felt like there were so many unnecessary words! It was like detail vomit when there was no need to be. I don't need to read all sadie's diary entries to know she wrote letters to her missing father about her life. I feel that you can write as first pov of a teenager without writing LIKE a teenager. It just annoyed the heck out of me. I had just finished reading the novel, “Deep Blue Secret” by Christie Anderson. The setting in the story isn't really explained well throughout the novel. The main character is Sadie, an ordinary teenager, the story was written in her point of view. I chose to read this book, because it was one of the books that I am very interested in, romance and fantasy fiction. The book’s main idea was pretty much that Sadie gets rescued by a water keeper, Rayne and he and Sadie spend a lot of time together. They are not allowed to be together so often and supposedly are only supposed to be business relationship, but when they begin to get to know each other better, they get much closer and their relationship gets to more than just friends. The book ends leaving the reader hanging off the edge and there is a sequel. It ends to Rayne’s Boss who is Sadie’s dad and Rayne admits that he is in love with her but it could be a risk because it could lead to many conflicts in the future. I thought the book’s ending ended terrible but really good at the same time. I honestly don’t like it when the author leaves the reader guessing until the next book. However, it has you want to keep reading which is good for most readers. My favorite part in the novel was when Rayne admits that he is in love with Sadie and also when he helps her and rescued her from Voss, the guy who kidnapped her. It showed how much he cared and loved Sadie and I had more of the feeling that it was more than just “business” kind of way. I thought that it was sweet to see how he was shocked on how much he loved her than he thought.

Do You like book Deep Blue Secret (2011)?

This book was very interesting. It took me a little while to get into it because Sadie got on my nerves. Like there is no way someone's emotions could be so out of wack. Also rayne says he's breaking so many rules just by talking to her and tells her she can't tell anyone about him and then she goes and tells everyone. Then heather for on my nerves cause she was acting so weird which was unnecessary. All in all I was an ok book but it took a while to get into it. I may or may not read the other books in the series.

I liked it but I didn't love it. I couldn't put it down because I was driven by the "What's going to happen next....." thought. I will have to say that I had figured out the biggest "secret" half-way through the book.I think I'll continue the series when I can get them just to find out the ending of Rayne and Sadie's story. Especially when Sadie figures out the truth.Until then I'll have no trouble moving on to other books.
