I have to say that this book took me totally by surprise. I had read Masters previous series about Formula One and although I thought the male was written amazing, the I had trouble with her female lead. I have NEVER read anything by Celia Loren before, so this was me diving in face first with no one to catch me. But I am a big girl, I can swim. So dive in I did, and let me tell you I couldn't put the book down. I loved this whole story. I loved the dark, I loved the characters, I loved the fluff moments, and I loved the love. Bane is a well written alpha male that when he knows what he wants he grabs it, snogs it, and doesn't let it go. Ava is a female lead that doesn't just roll over and show the big baddies her belly. She fights. Through beatings, abuse, and torment, she fights and does her best to try and get herself home no matter what the consequences may be. I love stories about demented clubs and women getting trapped. They have a whole Eyes Wide Shut vibe to me. This was fiction that made me BELIEVE the fiction the authors were created. I never once rolled my eyes, or gave up on the idea of the story. It bloomed and exploded in my mind and I was just this innocent woman along for the ride and grinning (at times crying) the whole way. The pacing of the book was perfect. The author didn't give to much info dump, or drama. They unbuckled and told the story with a brilliant flow that had me biting my nails and totally hot. It had been awhile since I read smexy scenes that made me ache. And oh boy was I aching. Maybe I just clicked with Bane and Ava, who knows. I was in love with their love. *I borrowed a copy of this from Kindle Unlimited.* A copy of this book was provided for a honest review.Ava Clark is young girl who find a job on craigslist? WTF. This was my first clue this girl was not too bright. She, of course, gets a wonderful job hired by some rich guy who wants to play head games in the interview. I won't give away any spoilers but she will met a biker, Bane, who is part of a very dirty biker club. Now she decides she wants ask questions and fight every situation. Huh? Talk about missing the boat sister.I like a dark biker story but this story was just okay. I am not interested in these characters or what happens to them. The story goes at a pretty fast pace and wraps up with some unanswered questions. Pending series?
Do You like book Death Layer (2014)?
It was not what I was expecting but an ok read, none of the regular mc stuff a little different.
