About book De Dochter Van De Iman (2009)

Not great literature, i personally didn't like the style of writing. Though a sad story about an abused Muslim girl who struggled and escaped her terrifying family who wanted to force her to marry. She ran away and started her own life, and became a successfully young woman. Despite her abused childhood she is a big help for girls who are forced to marry in arranged marriages. Although Hannah Shah converted to Christianity she made it clear that the situation she had lived in, was on cultural base and not on religious base. If you want a look into the horrific life of the Muslim culture through the experiences of a young girl, then you have found your book. I would hope that not all Muslims are as these are in the book, but the sexual abuse at the hands of her father (and her mother knowing about it) and other oppressive acts and behaviors against women are just awful. Those who become a Christian know full well they will be hunted and killed, if possible, even by their own family members! If you have clinical anxiety or depression, don't read it.

Do You like book De Dochter Van De Iman (2009)?

Hard to read about the abuse. Encouraging & thoughtful journey to Christianity.
