About book Das Mauerblümchen Erringen (2000)

Another great little fun & short addition to Mrs James' Fairy Tale series. Easily a 4 star read & actually might have been a 4.5 or better if it had been longer, there by giving more time & detail to thoroughly enjoy the hero & heroine's chemistry. These two caused sparks & fire. Cyrus is a logical, professional, reasonable & driven alpha male with pure sexiness. Lucy is a beautiful, well spoken, stubborn, endearing, sweetheart that is overlooked & unappreciated; until she decides she will have that no more. Then she commands respect, desire & love from any and every potential suitor; but Cyrus decides there will be no other suitors because he simple must have what was always suppose to be his...her. Very hot, very sexy, full of lust, longing & eventually love; this novella simple wasn't long enough because I could have read a couple hundred more pages about these two. A very enjoyable read.P.S. Loved seeing my beloved Olivia & Rupert! I loved Lucy and Cyrus. He was the son of a solicitor who had run off with the daughter of a duke. He had lived his life surrounded by that scandal and was determined not only to avoid it, but to correct it. He had a well-thought-out plan. Part of his plan was to marry a lady beyond reproach and unable to cause scandal. He proposed to Lucy's parents. They accepted on her behalf because of his enormous wealth. Lucy became an heiress soon thereafter so her parents insisted she break off the engagement. She pretty much laid everything out on the table. She made him understand how much his disinterest in her as a woman hurt. He realized very quickly how much he actually enjoyed being with her and, in short order, fell in love. I loved the way they developed their love for each other. Lucy didn't make it easy, which was a good thing. And I loved the way they consummated their love. A wonderful epilogue added to the HEA. Great read!
