About book Das Cassandra-Projekt (2013)

So the moon landings involved a hoax, but not the one you are thinking of. This mystery story of c. 2020 re-visits the Apollo Missions--just what the heck happened in 1969, anyway? Did Tricky Dick pull another one on us? Aside from the main plot, which I am not revealing, what happens if we do turn space exploration over to the corporations and they make a life-changing discovery. Would they even bother to tell the President and the rest of us? In mythology, Cassandra was blessed with prophesy, but cursed with no one believing what she said. I would tell you how this story ends, but you wouldn't believe me. ;-) I read this one a few years ago and felt compelled to review it when I stumbled across it while browsing GoodReads.I wasn't disappointed in this book until the last quarter of it. I like a good conspiracy and I thoroughly enjoy not being able to predict a plot twist. The writing was decent, the characters were ok, and I wanted to find out what was going on.The answer was Jesus. Jesus was going on. Ok, I definitely didn't see that one coming. Basically the stupidest, most unbelievable ending I could have imagined. Jesus was a benevolent pacifist alien, they landed on the moon, he came down to Earth and they killed him, so the aliens left. Um, no. Just no. And that is revealed in less than five pages. And the book ends. This ruins the book. Any redeeming factors are made completely irrelevant. Do not waste your time, money, or brain cells reading this book.

Do You like book Das Cassandra-Projekt (2013)?

It was gripping and enticing. It was a quick easy read, and I wish there was more depth to the plot.

Enjoyable and well written even if I did find the big mystery underwhelming

I really loved this book. Until it kinda crapped the bed in the end.
