When I finished the Darkest Powers series, I was a little upset that it didn't continue Derek and Chloe's story and relationship. Then, I found out that there were extra stories to go with the main trilogy and I was stoked. So needless to say, I found these stories amazingly awesome. I'm glad we got to read from Derek's POV. It added more "fun" to the story. All in all, an couple of amazing side stories that officially wrapped things up for me. Too bad there won't be any more though. I could always read more about Chloe and her "gang". The Darkest Powers Bonus Pack 2 has two short stories - Facing Facts and Belonging.Facing Facts is told from Chloe's point of view. Kit reveals to Tori who her biological father is while Chloe encounters the ghost of Tori's mother. The story was good but I wish it would have been told from Kit, Tori, or Simon's point of view. Each of those characters have a more emotional stake in the revelation but we didn't get to see their reactions as the story focused on Chloe.Belonging is told from Derek's point of view as he is forcefully reunited with his werewolve relatives - the Cains. If you're unfamiliar with the Women of the Otherworld series and want to learn more about Derek's biological father, you should read "Bitten" by Kelley Armstrong. Derek is my favorite character in the Darkest Powers series so I love anything that focuses on him. He continues to remind me of Clay as he also doesn't want anything to do with his biological family.
