This book made me sad. It was such a good premise and had a decent start. Susannah killed a lot of people for a demon and decided she wanted out. In order to save her soul she has to save people but each person she saves will age her.So, it's a race against time, right? No. Flash forward 50 years and she's only saves one person I think it was and she is perpetually young. And rich. So, theoretically she could never save anyone and spend eternity young, rich, beautiful and kick- ass and never have to worry about eternal torture. Just don't save anyone and you'll live forever. Maybe it got better. Maybe Mary Sue actually had some real problems later, I don't know. I just couldn't continue reading this. I have tried three times to read this book and I just can't get past the first couple of chapters. This calm healer all of fhe sudden turns blood thirsty and sells her soul for revenge. And then on the next page she's gentle and remissing about her dughter and wants out. She says she used to be hard hearted...etc but I just find the character unbelieveable and I struggle wanting to continue reading because I just can't get into it
Yawn, just didn't grab my attention. Just all a bit, 'oh, really'. Cliched romance.
