I did not like Eoghan in the first book, so when I realized who he was in this book, I was inclined to put up a wall against him. However, he won me over fast! This book is written in a way where you truly feel the feelings and heart of the characters. You could feel how scared Ana, truly was, of her uncle. You could feel the terror that overwhelmed her and you had no idea even why she was that scared, but you knew it was not contrived. I loved the depth of the spiritual side of it as well. It ended well, even when I did not know how they were going to pull that off. That part may have been a bit unrealistic, but any other way and we would have been really mad! Loved this book!
