Just finished this a few moments ago. Although it was a thrill ride, I have to admit I really did not like the ending, though of course it went well with the title. I guess the real problem I have is that several of the characters that were very astute and intelligent in the beginning of the series really got foolhardy in these last few books (even though their near brushes with death were coming fast and furious, leaving them more and more injured with each sequel). The ending to this one felt contrived as a set up for the last book in the series, and was not satisfying, leaving me with questions and also like the good fight the characters had worked so hard for in this series was futile. I've read nearly all F Paul Wilson's books, and Repairman Jack has always been my favorite. After telling us repeatedly that this would be the LAST Repairman Jack novel, Mr Wilson severely disappointed with this offering. After so many story lines had begun to come together, in the previous works, the anticipation was for this last Repairman Jack book to actually answer cosmic questions and leave us with our questions at least partially answered. Nope. No answers, only death, mayhem and the loss of characters we had thought would escape, at least with their lives. I am so disappointed!
Do You like book Dark At The End, The (2013)?
Mr Wilson does it again. The ending on this one was a bit quick. Glad there will be a little more,

The last(?) of Wilson's "Repairman Jack" novels; I'll grab this one as soon as it's published.

Paul Wilson is getting sick of writing this series. It's getting more formulaic.
