About book Damaged And The Outlaw (2000)

I loved Raven and Vaughn. It is always entertaining the way Bijou is able to depict different couples antics in a similar style. Even though they do not have the same dynamic, as a couple, as Tawny and Judd or Cooper and Farrah, they are both quirky and their back and forth is witty and short and funny. Raven is the biggest tough girl so far, and Vaughn knows she is not the type to be coddled or handled with kid gloves. The dynamic or Raven participating in the fights is another aspect of her personality that makes her incredibly unique from all the other girls in the "Damaged" series. Vaughn has caught my interest since he was besties with Judd and in the third book I was even more seduced by his role as the funny outlaw. Now he finally gets some resolution and even though we did not really have a lot of background for Raven, I am glad they were perfect for each other. woo woo I loved, loved, loved(yes one love is not enough) this book, this series just keeps getting better and better and when I think Bijou Hunter can't top herself she goes and makes me a liar. I loved this book from beginning to end I was hooked and wanted nothing more than to be in a secluded room all alone so that I could read this book with no distraction or interruptions. I never wanted to put Damaged and the Outlaw down. The second I picked up book one I have been impatient for the next and my wait for this book was no different. Once I heard about Damaged and the Outlaw I have been faithfully stalking Ms. Hunter till I knew a date for this book and so that I could make sure I wasn't missing any important information(yes I'm crazy like that when I find a book/series/author that I love).We first met Raven in her sister's book(Damaged and the Cobra) and we got some of her back story, and we have scene bits of Vaughn but now we finally get all of their gritty beautiful story. Vaughn is an outlaw with a hit on his head he knows it is just a matter of time before he dies so he lives with no attachments and even though he has found friends in town and now works for Copper he knows he is still really just an outsider. Raven left town thinking she had finally found happiness and love and now Raven is back knowing that she will never have love. When Vaughn comes to one of Raven's cage fights he can't deny that he is drawn to her so he follows her. Raven never thought Vaughn could make her laugh and when they spend some time together Raven finds herself agreeing to a friends with benefits relationship.Neither Vaughn or Raven want more but the more time they spend with each other the more they start liking each other. So they start to spend more time together and getting to know the other better, and soon find themselves falling in love. With a hit on Vaughn's life and hurt in Ravens past they both keep their true feelings a secret, but soon they find themselves dreaming of a future together with all the things they never thought they could or would ever have. When Vaughn finally puts his feeling out on the table Raven will have to decide if she is brave enough to admit to Vaughn how she really feels and live the life she only ever dreamed of, and Vaughn will have to decide to want a future instead of excepting his death. When they both finally admit their love for each other Vaughn's old MC comes to town to call in their hit on Vaughn and Copper will finally have to take the reigns of the MC and lead. But Vaughn will soon find out he and the gang may to late.This book was another great book in this series, not only do we get an exceptional new story but we also get a great look into everyone else's life both past and future characters. Bijou has a insane talent with keeping you in the loop of old character, keeping you connected with them, and finding way to make us love them more. Raven was a great heroine she was strong with a hard shell that was there to protect her and it was great seeing both the hard and soft sides of her, as well as seeing her bloom with the love of not only Vaughn and her sister but with her new friends. Vaughn(oh momma) I LOVED Vaughn he is what I have come to expect from Bijou Hunter, he was in all consuming love with Raven, he was possessive, rough around the edges, and tough as nails with anyone but Raven she was his and no one was ever going to take her away from him(ahh sigh) did I mention that I love Vaughn. This book had me in stitches, I found myself giggling and laughing throughout reading Damaged and the Outlaw, the sarcasm in this book is such a great bonus to this great story and it just made this book that much better. I hated Bailey in book one, but I don't think you understand I HATED her and wanted her dead, in book 2 and 2.5 I fell back in love with Bailey and stared to get excited for her book, now I am dying for her book, you can't help but love her after reading this book she is hilarious and I know her story will be yet again another display of Bijous amazing talent. In some books unfortunately I find myself loving a new series only to find that books 2,3 and so on just don't deliver and fall flat. With Bijou that is most defiantly NOT the case each book gets better and better, and she finds new ways for me to love this series even more than I thought possible with each new addition.One of my favorite things about any books is the epilogue's I think every book needs one and I actually look in the table of contents to see if a book has an epilogue. I think in some cases they can make or break a book, when a book doesn't have and epilogue I die a little inside(yeah ok I'm exaggerating a tiny bit) but Bijou Hunter is crazy good at writing epilogues she writes epilogues so well, I never have any lingering questions or wishes that somethings was taken care of more or further explored. and in Damaged and the Outlaw I was blown away by the epilogue it was pure perfection. My only complaint is that I now have to wait yet again for the next book(oh the pains I suffer). I was given this book to beta read(xoxo Bijou) and I was honored and thrilled, and I loved every minute of it wishing that this book wouldn't end and hating my percentage reader on my kindle that kept getting higher and higher. But I will be buying this book on release day because I loved it so much and I think Bijou Hunter is a brilliant author. So now I will go and search for another book that fills the void that I feel now that I have to wait for book 4. Bahh I can't wait for Bailey's book:}
