About book Cutting Ties (2000)

AstoundingI wasn’t really sure what to expect when I started reading the second book in this series, but I’m very glad I started it! It’s full of twists and turns and suspense that kept me glued to my reader, gasping and growling at the characters and wanting to cheer on some of their actions! Without getting to into the dynamics of the book I will warn you, at the end you’ll need a tissue or two but it’s definitely worth the read! There were a few heart stopping moments when I had to set the book down for a moment to collect myself before diving back into the book, a few times when I was laughing into my hand so I wouldn’t wake anyone else in the house up (yes it kept me up most of the night!)I was not paid to read this, I was given a free copy to read and give an honest review. I truly hope that you take a chance on reading a new author, sometimes it’s definitely worth it! Danielle Stewart did it again, another fantastic book. This book is loaded with suspense, romance, relationships, and what it is like being family, even when it is not by blood. In this book, we find out that Bobby has a painful past, a past that could stand in the way of him and Piper having any kind of life together. Piper, also learns what if feels like to know that she does not have to face everything alone anymore, because she has a family now that cares about her. Bobby, Michael, Jules, and Betty, will do anything to protect her, including setting her up with a K-9 guard dog, that Piper quickly falls in love with, and spoils. I must agree with Piper, the situation with her father could only have been handled one way, although I must say I was shocked by who took care of the deed, did not see that one coming. Also, the FBI agent, that led Piper's father to her, tried to make amends for her failures, and what she disclosed was another shocker, hopefully for Piper, it will help to heal some of the wounds of her past. At this time, I cannot say that love will have a happy ending for Piper and Bobby, their attitudes on life are so different, but hopefully in book 3, it will all come together.

Read in a day. Not sure I will read the third one. Piper is starting to get on my nerves.
